Ravali Gourishetti received a Ph.D. degree from Haptics Lab, Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 2019. She received her BTech degree in electronics and instrumentation from Kakatiya University and the MTech degree in biomedical engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
Her Ph.D. dissertation is on implementing the psychophysical measures in the needle insertion simulation, specifically epidural anesthesia simulation. She has developed a prototype of "virtual reality based needle insertion simulator" for training novice anesthesiologists in epidural anesthesia with the implementation of psychophysics in the model. Her research interests are haptics, psychophysics, healthcare and virtual reality.
